Wetting the baby's head.

My friends Rich and Brian took me to Newcastle on Saturday night to do the traditional wetting of the baby`s head. Unfortunately my preparation was poor after being up 5 times during the night with Mia.
There was only one solution, Red Bull mixed with vodka. We had two jugs and I felt a bit more awake. We were having a great night and I was boring everyone with baby photos and videos on my phone. I got really bad heartburn at half past eleven and sat by the Tyne trying to recover. My friends kept texting me asking where I was and suspecting I had sneaked off home. I met up with them in Sea nightclub and guess what they had bought me? Just the thing for heartburn....a bottle of Champagne. I didn`t want to seem ungrateful so I sipped at the Champagne and eventually gave it away, apologies to the lads if they are reading this. I said my goodbyes at 01:30 with them showing no sign of leaving. Got a cab from the Casino and got home to find Mia wide awake. She is so cute but when at 5am she still wasn`t asleep I was beginning to worry we might get no sleep at all.
The photo above is Mia in our bed at 6 days old. I`m loving every day of her little life, It`s going to be tough going back to work, I`ll be counting the hours to get home and see her.
