Preparing for Baby.
We have almost finished our preparations for our new arrival. I`ve painted the nursery, built the cot and crib and learned how to fit the car seat into our cars. We have a brilliant 3 wheeled pram that was a gift from Claires Mum Kath and we have just bought the baby monitor.
Buying the baby monitor was not as easy as you would think, we searched the internet and Claire insisted on one that had a temperature display on it. What did people do 60 years ago I wonder?
I found a BT baby monitor on the net for 90 pounds but the biggest tip I can give anyone buying new is to search on http://www.pricerunner.co.uk first. I found it for 60 quid on Pricerunner and it was delivered within 2 days. We had to test it of course and it says it works up to 300 metres. We actually have a pub about 3oo metres away and I was keen to see if it would work from there so I set off from the house talking to Claire as I headed to the pub. Unfortunately just as the pub came in sight and I was gasping for a pint I lost contact, oh well it was worth a try. Before anyone reading this thinks that I was about to become a bad parent who would abandon their baby and go to the pub, it was only a bit of fun. Can you imagine the looks I would get if I was sitting in the pub with my monitor on the table in front of me? You can actually get monitors with video on them too.
Claire has also filled the babys wardrobe up with little outfits, she put one of the newborn socks next to one of my size 11`s and took a picture on her phone and sent it to her friends.
5 weeks and 4 days to go, I can`t wait, hope it comes between World Cup games :-).
